Hello and welcome to my first tutorial.
Easy Gel Globe

This tutorial is done in PhotoImpact 6,
Skill level - Intermediate

Open a transparant canvas 300X300 pixels (you can resize later)

Click on 'Path Drawing Tool' and select the shape you wish
to use. (I used 'decoration 2')
drag the square across your canvas which will make your '2D' shape
Change to '3D' Mode
Go to your folder in your 'easy palette' of 'presets'
select the colour of your choice of 'Debs Gels' and click
I used 'border' 50 and 'Depth' 30 for my shape

Place a tube of your choice in the middle. I used a tube I made myself
Name your work or type your signature
Save your your work, I prefer to save as UFO format
so I can change the colour etc to reuse again, and.
it also stays transparant background.
Duplicate 3 times - you will have 4 graphics the same
Click on the shape of your first graphic to select so
The snow will swirl behind your picture
Click on 'effect' on tool bar
Click on 'creative'
Click on 'particle' and 'firefly'
In the effect control of particle screen - I used
Density 60
Size 7
Variance 80
The colour selection I used -
White - Opacity 15
Green - Softness 75
The green was made up from the following:
Hex #C8FD9B
If you cannot copy and paste the Hex - here is the colour
R 200
G 252
B 55
H 92
S 39
B 99

Click on 'Random'.
Save your graphic and do the next 3 graphics
the same way
You have finished the main part, now take your 4 graphics over
to animation, save as a gif file and you are finished

This Gel Globe was made using the same
method except I used 'paint on edges' under 'selections'
up on the tool bar, choosing a gold colour
